“Watch a teacher with a classroom full of students, and you’ll see what real love looks like.” Teresa Kwant.

Sadly, Bridget Grehan-Bradley has gone to God after a long illness. Bridget was an exceptional teacher at St. Leonard’s and a great influence of the lives of so many. Our prayers are with Matthew, Joseph, Lucy and Jenny. May she rest in peace.

Angela Henderson is retiring as school secretary of St. Joseph’s. Angela has worked at St. Joseph’s since November 2000. Initially as a lunchtime supervisor, then began as secretary in 2003, eventually getting an office job as School Business Manager in 2016. She was always planning to retire this year – just a little bit early! Enjoy the many caravan holidays ahead, Angela.

"The best thing for being sad, replied Merlin, beginning to puff and blow, is to learn something. That’s the only thing that never fails. You may grow old and trembling in your anatomies, you may lie awake at night listening to the disorder of your veins, you may miss your only love, you may see the world about you devastated by evil lunatics, or know your honour trampled in the sewers of baser minds. There is only one thing for it then – to learn. Learn why the world wags and what wags it. That is the only thing which the mind can never exhaust, never alienate, never be tortured by, never fear or distrust, and never dream of regretting. Learning is the only thing for you. Look what a lot of things there are to learn. "
