Parish Prayer Group
For the past 7 years, we have been meeting in Breda’s house each Wednesday at 7.30. We generally follow the same format each week, after greeting each other we pray our intentions and say a decade of the rosary. Then we read a gospel passage and reflect on it then share with each other how that gospel speaks to us in our lives. Sometimes instead of a Lectio Divina style of prayer based on the word, we will pray with an image, maybe a painting or icon. Sometimes we use prayer of the imagination.
We have become dear friends to each other because there is such trust and depth of sharing within the group. We always share a cuppa and a bit of time to relax together after prayer, generally finishing between about 9:00 and 9.30.
