We are excited to be running another parish retreat to Castlerigg Manor in Keswick from Friday 24th February to Sunday, 26th February 2023. Located in the heart of the Lake District, Castlerigg Manor is only a 10 minutes’ walk from Keswick town centre and boasts wonderful views of the surrounding hills. Katie will be facilitating the retreat for us and will be running a simple programme that allows plenty of time for reflection/walking/visiting town/socialising. The full cost of the weekend retreat is £100. This includes all meals and accommodation for two nights. We will not be organising a coach but will be helping to facilitate car sharing to make travel easier for everyone. There is lots of free parking on site. As Castlerigg Manor is a youth retreat centre, there are various types of facilities and rooms. There are only a small number of ensuite rooms so we cannot guarantee these (there are ample shared facilities throughout the building close to all rooms). However, we will do our best to accommodate requirements. There is an accessible annex for anyone with mobility issues or wheelchair users. We will also require a deposit of £20 per person attending to be provided in cash or cheque payable to Durham Martyrs’ Parish. These can be handed into the parish office in envelope with your name on.
