Thought from Fr. Colm - 8th May

Thanks for the response to our request for support for our schools. It is much appreciated. We continue to get the resource packs to as many parishioners as possible. If some are not receiving them, then please let Marjorie know. We still don’t know when churches will open again. Don’t get too fond of those webcam Masses. They are but a poor substitute for the reality of church gatherings. Community is flesh and blood human contact. Parish gatherings involve the challenge that all human contact involves. Sometimes we enjoy each other’s company. Sometimes irritate each other. But above all, we publicly state that we share a common sense of willingness to try and make it work. We gather from different backgrounds and cultures. We don’t simply press the remote and shift on to a more pleasing Mass that suits the mood of the moment.
