Thought from Fr. Colm - 9th June 2024

We welcome Bishop Stephen this weekend. This coming week also sees us gather for our Annual General Parish Council meeting. All are welcome. Prayers please for our First Communicants. The children from St. Joseph’s and St. Thomas More this Saturday, followed by St. Godric’s the following Saturday. Next Saturday 15th we have our fourth meeting of planning for the future with Fr. John O’Brien. We begin at 11.00am. Sad losses this week. Helen Tumelty, after a courageous battle with long term illness. Helen was a pilgrim in every sense of the word, journeying to Rome also to Ireland with the parish, where her quiet smiling presence despite her physical struggles, was always much appreciated and loved. Sheila Patterson has also died after a long physical struggle. Always a formidable presence in church, she was very much a part of our parish activities. Our prayers and sympathies to Helen’s and Sheila’s families and friends. May they rest in peace.
